Great meal! Fresh and tasty. People very friendly and again Ive been enjoy with shrimps and other meal Ive been ordered. Thank you, great family business!
-
This is our second time coming to this establishment. We noticed their incredible fast and welcoming employees and the food never seems to disappoint. I will be coming back. You can get both Chinese and Japanese and both are well done. I love the light option to choose your veggies so youre not just eating all the broccoli.

Highly recommend chicken katsu! The owner is friendly as well
-
I ordered for take out and I had made the mistake of ordering the wrong item. I called and asked what i actually wanted and instead of charging me, they gave it to me on the house, even tho I made the mistake they corrected it. Amazing service!
-
Very nice atmosphere and food.
-
Good food and good service. I love Ashia!
-
We really like being able to order Chinese food and sushi from the same place. Good quality food, always consistent, never an issue. We usually do take out and order basics like chicken and broccoli, pork fried rice, chicken lo mein, California rolls and spicy tuna rolls. When we moved to the area we ordered from so many different Chinese restaurants and landed on this one.
-
Great place to eat, very cozy booths or having a small gathering. Always been one of my go to places !!
-
very good food and the staff was very nice and friendly
-
First time ordering here and I ordered through DoorDash. The shrimp dumplings were amazing! I also had a California roll and it was very tasty as well. Definitely recommend the shrimp dumplings! Im already craving more!

Food was great. Prices are little higher than your average Chinese restuarant, but the quality and portions make up for that price difference. Excellent all around!
-
Good value, General Tsos Chicken or tofu, wonton, Kung Pao all good. We order regularly
-
Hi stanley ,im gonna come here one day!
-
good
-
I get their poke bowls all the time. I absolutely love them! In the area they have the best poke bowls in my opinion. The staff has always been really friendly. I like to add mango to anything I get that has salmon and they always remember to add it (a lot of places forget) At this point I dont get sushi or poke bowls from anywhere else.

Great
-
2022 Update - wonderful dine in experience as well! Special rolls and regular rolls were delicious and the staff quick and attentive. The Ashia Roll was our favorite, but all were excellent. Also BYOB!
Original review - Great takeout! Finally tried some special rolls here and they did not disappoint. Good prices and good quality fish! Staff are very friendly and pickup setup is very safe. Order directly from them! They have a website if you prefer over calling.

We eat there once a month. It's awesome!
And never disappointed. I read some reviews that complains about short staff? That's just ridiculous! The food is great. The service is always there. The waitress always come to our table making sure everything is ok. The front desk is warm and very friendly. We always make sure giving good tips before we left the place. -

-
Very good food. Haven't been served anything I didn't like. Even my 2 year old likes everything he's eaten. Only issue I have is the portions are in the smaller side.
-
Love there veg wontons. Just wish they would fill them more. Mmmm good.
-
Ordered food online. Great presentation but price is a little high compare to other sushi joints I've ordered from.
-
This restaurant has some of the best Chinese food in parsippany. The sushi is amazing. If you like sushi and havent been here yet, your missing out. The lunch specials are a great bargain. Lunch is from 11 -3pm monday through saturday. I highly recommend you come check this place out for lunch. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff is always courteous and attentive.

Ashia is a great local restaurant with a variety of offerings and a warm atmosphere, and friendly, attentive staff. Whether you're in the mood for sushi, stir fry, Thai dishes, typical Chinese American favorites, teriyaki and even Poke bowls, they have something for everyone. They even have a good variety of options for vegetarians. They offer delivery but also have a large, welcoming dining room. It's nice to have such a great place in the neighborhood.

-
Nice place, good food, good service

I dine in this great restaurant often! This is my favorite place to have a bite. I visit this place many times. The cooking is of high quality, the workers are professional and the cost is reasonable. I like eating in this spot over a nice dinner.
-
The best
-
Had the rainbow poke bowl, I loved everything about it !! Fresh and hit the spot. Only thing I would change is requesting the sauce on the side only because they lay it over top and it takes away from the presentation of the dish. Sauce was top notch!! If you like a nice kick but not that jalapeo linger I suggest the spicy mayo. Will def be trying other dishes from this place. Compliments to the chef

Food is great but they are painfully understaffed.
-
Our go to place for takeout and pickup - never tried delivery. We like the egg drop / wonton soup, spring and egg rolls, steamed dumplings to start. Main entrees are always look and taste fresh including chicken and broccoli, pepper steak, mei fun noodles, etc. We have not tried the sushi portion of the restaurant. Order online on their website and type in any special instructions such sauce on the side, etc. and that works well.
-
This is not just the best Asian food in Parsippany but the best I've ever had anywhere. Get the dumplings and thank me later. Honestly everything is amazing, quick, fresh... I couldn't love this place more
-
Ashia has been my go to place ever since I have moved to Parsippany. I get the steamed pork dumplings every single time because it is flavourful and juicy. My husband always orders the general tsos chicken, chicken with broccoli or barbecue boneless spareribs and he always tells me that they never fail.
-
Excellent!! I had a catered order, and people were saying this is the best Chinese food they've had in a long time. Well priced and friendly service too.
-
I'm impressed with the Sushi rolls. The do not skimp on the fish and you get a healthy portion of sushi alongside a healthy portion of avocado. Not like other places that give a pinky size piece of fish. I have ordered many times from Ashia and each time is a healthy portion of the actual fish. Also, their soups are not loaded with sodium! So you get a nice authentic flavor without the side effects of too much sodium. I highly recommend this place for Sushi and Japanese soup. I cant comment on the Chinese menu because I have not yet tried anything.
-
The sushi really good that place is only my family order from we been tried many restaurantahia definitely is my favorite thank you guys keep your good job
-
Fish is always fresh. We love the sushi. I never had a bad experience here ever. I am very cautious when it comes to sushi and we go here once per week and sometimes more.
-
This is without a doubt the BEST sushi restaurant in New Jersey. My family and I have been coming here for years and I have not once ever had a bad experience. The food is phenomenal and is served beautifully. The service is incredible and the owner Rachel is incredibly caring and attentive towards her customers. If I could rate this 10 stars I would. I cannot recommended this place enough!
-
I have been coming to this restaurant for many many years, both dining in and taking out. The food is of extremely high-quality, the sushi is phenomenal. The owner Rachael is extremely attentive and watches over everything. It is definitely worth the trip.

Best Chinese restaurant in area, great food and friendly service.

Had the sesame chicken, chicken lo mein and shrimp roll combo for lunch. For was good, sesame chicken was best I've had so far in this area. Lo mein was average and the shrimp roll was ok. Service was quick for takeout and food was fresh.

Love this place for a quick lunch with coworkers during the week. Perfect lunch sized portions & a great price to match! Every time we have been in we have been in and out in 30-45 minutes. Japanese lunch is great - personal favorite of mine is the orange chicken.
-
Ashis is the best kept secret in Parsippany. I was never disappointed with any items I ordered there. The service is quick and friendly. Best of all they have an all you can eat menu, where you order the food fresh off the menu. (Sashimi is limited). Choose from Chinese, Japanese Sushi and Sashimi all fresh to order. I been there for dinner and parties and they are very accommodating.
-

Love this spot. It's great for families because some people like sushi and others like Chinese and this is a great mix! Everything is great and the service is awesome. I also do takeout from here and the food is always ready when they say it will be.
-
Best Chinese restaurant in area, great food and friendly service.
-
Definitely my go to delivery spot. They do Chinese and Japanese food very well. Good quality and great portions. I like to come here and enjoy my meals because they have the crispy noodles and duck sauce on the table. I grew up on that so it's nostalgic.
I've had really fresh sushi from here. The rolls don't come packed with rice so you can enjoy the actual taste of the fish and vegetables. Appetizers are well executed. I am very fond of their crab Rangoon. It's done differently than I have seen but they pack so much filling into these it just oozes out as you take a bite. The shumai was very tasty, they are boiled it seems like but tastes fresh. This place is different from the rest for me because they do a lot with tofu. The Tofu teriyaki combo I had came out in a sizzling plate, so cool. It's fried with tempura and mixed with vegetables, it's delicious. Love how they have the light cuisine option where you can pick your vegetables, meat or tofu and sauce. The portions are big so it can be split up into two meals.
Their online website is so user friendly. When ever I order delivery it's through their online service and they always come in a timely manner.
-
We stopped by this restaurant, but surprisingly found that sushi here was so great! We had spicy sushi tuna roll and sushi boat. OMG! They tasted delicious and fresh!! I don't know how to describe how amazing they are, but I will definitely ask my friends to come with me again and again. Sushi here are even better than the ones I had in Japan. In addition, the service was great and staffs were welcoming. You can't miss this restaurant!!
-
The lady was very nice also the food was amazing. The food was fresh, hot and the service was very good. Every good place to have Chinese food and sushi .
-
It is not easy to find a great sushi restaurant in NJ (if consider price as well), but this one is absolutely incredible! I had squid salad and salmon sashimi. All of them were fresh and tasty with pretty looking. Most important: the price was reasonable, which were hard to find in New York. Highly recommend to everyone who loves sushi or sashimi. LOVE IT!
-
I went to this place with two of my colleagues yesterday, and was super satisfied. The restaurant is not large, but well decorated and the staffs there are super nice. We ordered the Dragon Roll and Crab Tempura Roll, and they didn't disappoint us at all! Great great place! Definitely will come back again!
-
Love it!
This restaurant is perhaps my favorite Chinese food. You can order food to go but the atmosphere in the restaurant is so nice, you should consider staying for your meal. Lots of choices and good prices. -
Mongolian Beef with Brown Rice and constant refilling of my tea cup(without having to ask). I have been eating here with my Boo since they Opened and have had a pleasant experience everytime. Quick Courteous Seating and staff was very pleasant and accomodating(even made substitutions without a problem). If you are not sure come for their lunch meal and it comes with soup so you get a bonus and a tasty meal. The lunch portions I have had have been enough for 2 people. The Clean and Serene atmosphere are a plus.I will definitely recommend and return here...
-
atmosphere was nice, food was very good and did not have too much oil or sauce, good service
-
Great food. The selection is huge ad the service is great. Many restaurants try to do multiple cuisines and never get any of them right; this one does three very well.
-
I went there a month ago and forgot the name of the place. I'm wary of fusion places and I have no idea what Ashia means, but I like the food. We tried sushi and a curry dish, both very good. They also served sides of japanese rice, which is a nice option. Service was attentive. Decor was nice.
-
Service is great. I highly recommend the homemade shrimp dumplings. We had them steamed. However, they come fried, too. I also enjoyed the Tuna Naruto. It is tuna with avocado wrapped with cucumber. Ponzu dressing. There is no rice, so very healthy for the diet conscious. I can't wait to go back to try other rolls and Thai dishes
-
I wish I could write 2 reviews for this place. They do Chinese and Thai very nicely. The sushi isn't any better than average.
-
Love love love!! I was a former Anti Asian Fusion person and now I am reformed...
This place is amazing...Try the Golden Eye Roll and I promise you'll go home happy :) -
After trying several take out Chinese restaurants in the area, we found one we can stick to. We love the online ordering. The beef and broccoli is delicious. The food tastes real and flavorful and not old like other places. I frequently get compliments on the great smells when I take it to work the following day
-
We tried Ashia for the first time tonight. The food is really good! We had both Chinese and sushi. My kids loved the chicken and broccoli although for the price you pay I expected a little more food. My sushi was delicious. If would have given the place 5 stars if our waitress was a little friendlier. It took forever to get the check and pay. I will definitely be back though.
-
We dropped by for lunch and had the Thai cuisine. It was delicious! I had Pad Thai (veg) and my husband tried the green curry. He dint seem to like it much but I simply loved it.! I ended up eating the green curry ordered for him :p I guess this is a place you either like or hate; there is no in-between. I can't wait to try other dishes here.. Will surely drop by sometime.
-
What a great find!!!! They succeeded in all areas as far as I'm concerned. The service was fantastic, they were truly concerned about our dining experience. From the simple dishes to the complex everything was delicious.
The presentation was almost artistic. The dish I ordered was bordered by thinly sliced oranges, the other dishes served were equally creative. They had a General Tso's Tofu dish which was off the charts. I ordered a Triple Crown of Shrimp, Beef and Chicken in Garlic sauce and asked if the chef could add some Ginger. Usually I'm told no in most places, here there wasn't even a question and the waitress followed up to make sure it was to my liking.
The Sushi was well presented and wonderfully fresh.
As for the prices, they were more than reasonable. Typical Entres that would go for $18.95 in other Restaurants were $4.00 to $5.00 less at Ashia.
At the end of our meal, we were all individually thanked for coming and invited to return.
If you're looking for some really great Asian Fusion and don't mind travelling to a Non Trendy location, you really should make a point of making Ashia your next stop.
-
Great place for Chinese or sushi. Food is always prepared expertly. Service is excellent and friendly. Highly recommend the general tsao's fish and triple delight with scallions. Josh the owner could not be nicer. A great place for any occasion. Highly recommended.
-
Great place! Stopped in here on a whim after not having been in ten years. The chicken are large chunks of white meat, large portions, decent prices and good service. Definitely will be back soon!
-
One of my favorite Chinese places to have lunch. The staff is very attentive and the owner always walks around to see how everything is going. The food is good and so far I have no complaints. I always try to go there when I'm around the area.
-
Typical American Chinese prices a little bit above average, service decent and fair. Food quality good, don't really have too much to say but an average Chinese place. Friends and I will come back when the mood strikes.
Grade B+
-
I have to say that I am always a little bit iffy when ordering from a place that I haven't tried before but I ordered online because when I called they put me on hold and then never picked up. Delivery was fast (45 mins) my food was hot and everything was correct and the General Tso's Chicken is really good in my opinion. I asked for extra sauce and it is flavorful, a little spice and a really good portion size which is good since the prices are a little high. Overall it was fast and easy to order (I recommend online) order was correct and food was good. I will be ordering from here again:)
-
I am always cautious and skeptical about trying a new sushi joint. It seems everyone has a horror story that involves vomit and dysentery when they stray for their normal spots. I was at work and got the craving so I took a leap of faith and landed at Ashia.
From outside looking in you would think this place is small and almost dumpy. However walking in the space is actually quite large, bright, and very clean. Ordered the salmon sushi lunch to go and was in and out in under ten minutes. The salmon was very fresh and was buttery and delicious. Fish to rice ratio was spot on and they put the dressing on the side without even asking.
Staff was pleasant, efficient, and informed me they deliver to my office to save me the trip.
They serve both Chinese and Japanese food. Ill for sure be back.
-
My sushi always turns out perfectly! (I order eel and avocado rolls and crab rangoon, yum!) And whenever I ask for extra wasabi they provide it for me. I usually order take-out from them once or twice a month. The staff is friendly and always smile when you walk through the door. I have yet to dine-in, but I probably will soon. Totally recommend this place!
-
Still phenomenal food, service and ambiance.
Josh is an amazing manager and runs a great restaurant with a great staff. -
I ordered in from here last night with some friends, and we each got 2 sushi rolls. But when they got to my house they were cones of seaweed filled with what we ordered. (ex: a spicy salmon roll was a cone of seaweed filled with white rice and salmon.) It was so odd. They tasted amazing, but it was so strange to have a cone of sushi. Make sure you click the right things if ordering online! I can't tell if I messed up or they did. Either way, it was really good.
-
Great food and service. Never had anything bad. My test for authentic Asian food is to see if other Asian people actually dine there. This was a nice mix of people. I like the maki rolls. They didn't fall apart when I used chopsticks. Owner comes out to check on you which shows that he cares about your experience. Nice.
-
Ashia is a great sit down chinese resturant. They do serve a good variety of food ranging from all sorts of chinese food to japanese to sushi. We ordered all on the Chinese section. The waitress always had an eye on our table for when we needed anything and frequently checked in. We got the food at a timely manner and it was quite proportional to what we expected and paid for. The places is clean and has a quiet atmosphere. We always go after 7pm, so there is generally less people dining at that time. It is a good local place for if you are interested in having a sit down rather then ordering in. they do take out as well if you want it
-
We ended up here because it was convenient to the Parsippany movie theatre. We were very pleased with our dinner. On the plus side, it's BYO and the interior is quite nice for the price range. The menu is extensive, offering Chinese, Sushi and Thai food--all on one menu. This turned out to be great for our group's differing preferences. We found the service to be excellent, though it was a wee bit difficult to understand the waitress. The manager was attentive, stopping by several times (although we were not there at a busy time). Reports on the food (all 3 types) were excellent, though I found that the Pad Thai was lacking in sufficient vegetables. It kind of came off as a pile of noodles. I would ask for extra vegetables next time and skip the chicken or shrimp.
It's right next door to an outstanding Indian super-market. -
I'm always wary about trying new Chinese places but last night after a long day of work I was tired and hungry and didn't feel like leaving my apt.
So I checked out places on Yelp and found this one. Ordering online was fast and easy, and delivery was quick. They even called me to confirm my address.
The won ton soup was excellent. Hot and fresh tasting. The chicken and broccoli was good, except the chicken was a little over cooked. The broccoli was fresh. I'll definitely order again.
One downside: the phone lady spoke too fast and didn't listen to me when I tried to explain where my apt is.
-
After days of darkness and Sandy kicking our butts, we finally found some Asian food to fill our bellies. We've eaten at Ashia numerous times, but on this night the place was PACKED, and after we were seated the line was out the door. The poor waitresses, cooks, and the hostess were SO overwhelmed it would have been easy for them to be short with the customers, but they really were great and patient with all of us in the place.
Thankfully, the food was as great as ever, and it was great to have a little variety...it was such a long 8 days without power...
-
My go to spot for Chinese food when around the area. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, authentic Chinese. The sushi wasn't bad either!
-
Food is great the staff needs to learn better customer service skills. Their sushi is really good food low salt and not greasy I did enjoy it very much. Very tasty I just wish the lady's weren't so rude.
-
Ate here on a quiet weeknight . Takeout was booming but the attractive dining room was sparsely occupied. The room itself is very attractive and clean. Service was excellent despite a bit of language difficulties. I was impressed that the two young ladies managing the front would swoop right in if they noticed any confusion with the waitresses and make sure everything was right. There definitely seems to be a desire to make guests feel happy .
Food was really good . Everything was nicely presented and portion sizes were perfect. The menu is pretty straight forward Chinese and sushi with a bit of Thai mixed in. The advantage they have over their competition is the nice interior and staff that is eager to please

I've had a sore throat for the better part of the last month, and I've been on a major soup-kick. I ordered from Ashia twice and a less expensive place once. The latter was a big mistake as the food lacked any taste and was your typical greasy American-Chinese food. Ashia, on the other hand, tasted fresh, and the quality was great for take out. I have ordered several quarts of egg drop soup, egg foo young with the sauce on the side, shrimp with lobster sauce, and their bone-in spare-ribs. All of the items were worth the price for the quality I received - large shrimp, thick ribs, and non-greasy egg foo young. Will definitely be ordering from here again and again!

I ordered takeout- this review is more regarding the food.
I ordered sushi and miso soup, and I thought the rolls were some of the best I've had. Spicy tuna avocado was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying! The golden eye roll was huge too, so delicious! I would definitely recommend for takeout.

This was awesome. In NJ on business and chose to stay in. Fast delivery to my hotel. Super nice delivery fella. Chicken soup was hot and so fragrant I burned my tongue trying to eat it quickly as I have been freezing all day. Ordered steamed chicken and asparagus, broccoli and mushrooms. Fresh and delicious. I also ordered a pellegrino and was expecting a small plastic bottle for $4. Instead I received a huge 25.3 oz glass bottle. Wow. Thank you. Glad I have this little gem in my pocket for future cold trips North.

We ordered Chinese for lunch at my office today. I specifically ordered my General Tso's with no broccoli. They screwed up and gave me an order with broccoli. We called them up about it and they rushed back to fix the problem with a brand new order...and it was delicious!
Summary: Great food. Good customer service. A real win. -
The food at Ashia is excellent! Not to mention an incredibly attentive staff.
Today we ordered sushi lunch and it was amazing. Aside from a great presentation, everything was very fresh. Quite frankly, the thing that differentiates sushi is the quality of the rice and Ashia's is second to none.

The food is so delicious and fresh always! The Lo Mein is the best in the area. Sushi was great too! Highly recommend this place!

I have lived in the neighborhood for quite some time & never even heard of the place. When I received a flyer at home & it said "all you can eat sushi" we decided to give it a try. What a great decision it was! The menu is insane! Has the standard sushi rolls but also has specialty rolls that cost anywhere else $15 and the buffet is only $22! This place offers not only Japanese but also Chinese food. The menu has over or near 100 items. We like to visit different restaurants and by far this was one of the best surprises in awhile. The restaurant is neatly appointed. We went on a Friday late night and were the only guests besides pick up orders. I don't know why it was empty and I am assuming it's because it's in a small strip mall..... give it a try and you won't be disappointed at all!

Always ordered take out from here (mainly the lunch or dinner combinations or sushi rolls) using their online ordering system and have never has an issue. I've never ate in so I can't really comment on the service but from my brief interactions, the people are friendly and the place looks clean.

I chose Ashia to cater our Thanksgiving luncheon at work. One reason is we are a nut free school and they use vegetable oil. I couldn't be more pleased with how they did our order. I had 35 orders. I gave each person a choice of about 8 items plus they chose the type of rice and soup or egg roll. I met with the owner the day before and went over everything. They gave me a generous discount plus included a pack of noodles for each person, fortune cookies, forks, napkins, sauces, etc. Each item was labeled with exactly what it was to help me organize once the food was delivered. They opened up early to cater to our 11:00 am lunch crew and got the order to me within 5 minutes of the estimated delivery time. Also, one person's was missing which I am still not sure was their fault or someone at my job taking the wrong order BUT they generously made a trip back over with the missing food without any questioning or complaints. Excellent customer service!! The food was delicious! I highly recommend Ashia and will definitely use them again in the future.
*On a side note I got shrimp and broccoli. Everyone who ordered the shrimp was very pleased with the size and quality of it. Nice portions even for the lunch special! -
Our office used to order delivery from these guys every Tuesday. While I may agree that delivery takes a bit of time, Parsippany is a big town and they get a lot of business so them taking longer than usual may be expected. However, if you really want to experience it, I would recommend going in for a sit down meal. It can get busy in there too but the decor is very nice, the staff is extremely friendly and the food is absolutely fresh there.
The price is just right too and you get a great, hot meal. I'm going to be honest as I can here. I've been coming here before it was Ashia and have seen the menu change a bit as well as the name of the place and how it was ran. No matter when it was, the food has always tasted the same and by far the best Chinese Food I have ever eaten. This includes areas around where I live and other areas which are known for their Chinese Food. As far as I'm concerned, this should be your "go to" when it comes to Chinese Food in Parsippany.

Clean place with a nice, calm atmosphere. I've come here several times so I was happy to find a $17 groupon for $30 worth of food. Took co-workers to lunch with it. Win- win.

Ordered delivery on a Sunday night at 7 pm. Seeing as I live less than 10 minutes from Ashia I expected quicker delivery but it took about 45 minutes for my small order to arrive.
I ordered some sashimi and two basic rolls. Both met my standards considering I expected it to be a little less than average (there was nowhere else open on a Sunday night that delivered, and my cravings were taking over) but I was actually very satisfied. Haven't tried the Chinese here but I will give it a try based off my liking for the sushi.

This place is one my favorite Asian restaurant in Parsippany. Really exceptional place. Great food, exceptional taste, and reasonable price. What else should I expect? By the way, I did enjoy talking with the friendly staffs there, super nice and talkative! Definitely worth trying!

Getting good Chinese AND good Japanese takeout from the same place is awesome and super convenient. The food is tasty as well, and the dinner roll special is great.

Amazing Place!!! Called to order! There was no mistakes! When I went there to pick up the people was so funny! Most important the food is awesome!
I ordered salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, yellow tail roll with a garden salad. The fish was fresh!
The chicken and broccoli was the best I ever tried!!! Definitely going there next time!!!
